Can you use regular ice skates?
What about scratches in the Xtraice synthetic ice panels? Is it possible to resurface them?
There is no need to worry about scratches. Scratches always appear homogenously and will not affect functionality or look. Xtraice uses a very high density material, so that any scratches are always superficial and never go deep. Resurfacing the panels would be theoretically feasible, but is not recommended, as scratches would quickly re-appear.
Can Xtraice be used outdoors?

What happens when it rains or snows?
Rain or snow do not damage Xtraice synthetic ice. Furthermore, water has no effect on functionality. The only trouble with snow is that it has be shoveled away.
What kind of maintenance does Xtraice synthetic ice require?
Very simple: Make sure to remove dust once a day using a vacuum cleaner or a broom. Then, every 7 to 10 days, wet-clean the surface using a cleaning machine with a rotating disc or a power washer. Only use pH neutral soap.
