The life-span of the product is 20 years for the Pro version and 10 years for the Lite version. We give 12 years guarantee on the Pro version and 6 years on the Lite version.

Can you use regular ice skates?

There is no need to worry about scratches. Scratches always appear homogenously and will not affect functionality or look. Xtraice uses a very high density material, so that any scratches are always superficial and never go deep.
Can Xtraice be used outdoors?
Yes, Xtraice has synthetic ice rink installations outdoors in many different climates. It can be used under almost any weather conditions. Due to its unique UV treatment you will be able to enjoy Xtraice from -112ºF (-80ºC) to 212ºF (100ºC) without any color variation on its surface.
What happens when it rains or snows?
Rain or snow do not damage Xtraice synthetic ice. Furthermore, water has no effect on functionality. The only trouble with snow is that it has be shoveled away.
What kind of maintenance does Xtraice synthetic ice require?
Very simple: Make sure to remove dust once a day using a vacuum cleaner or a broom. Then, every 7 to 10 days, wet-clean the surface using a cleaning machine with a rotating disc or a power washer. Only use pH neutral soap.
What are the requirements for the sub-flooring?
Any surface is suitable as long as it is flat, level and hard. Hence, you can build our synthetic ice rinks directly on concrete, wood, asphalt, marble, etc.
